Mirroring the land that was opened up by the mighty railroads, Steam & Rye features classic Americana Crab-Shack cuisine including USDA Grain-fed beef from Greater Omaha, BBQ spare ribs & beautifully flavoured Canadian Lobster cooked on the Josper Grill. Additionally, Cornish crab cakes, BBQ Ribs and smoked pulled pork give a hint of what’s to come, all prepared by a team led by celebrated chef Andrew McLeish (of Michelin starred Chapter One, Kent).
Steam and Rye is open weekdays for lunch between midday, dinner until 10pm and Saturdays from 6pm.
Lunchtime includes A La Carte Dining & Express Menu’s (2 courses £13.95/£17.95 3 courses) which changes monthly.
Offers include (Monday & Tuesday’s) – Unlimited Ribs or Shrimps with ‘slaw and fries for just £16.95 – this has become a hero dish for us!
Britain’s top bartender and finalist in the Diageo World Class competition Andy Mil (formally of London Cocktail Club) heads up the bars which will serve both classic and bespoke cocktails, created by one of Britain’s leading mixologists.
The team of mixologist are hand-picked because of their sparkling personalities and top customer service techniques. The bartenders should be fun and have fun, interacting and engaging with customers and being visually creative.
Wild Bar Shows should be a daily ritual – with flaring, showcase cocktails and sharing cocktail rituals playing a huge part in the entertainment stategy.
Hero cocktails include visual vessels such as: Maize Balls, 5 Dollar Shake, Monika Lewinsky, Oil Slick, Prescription Julep, Mississippi Lullaby, Gold Rush, Dead Man’s Boot and Jumbo Sharers including: Jaws, T-Rex, Croc-o-Rye, Mount Rushmore, Case & Status with more to follow.
